Lai Wah Restaurant

Lai Wah Restaurant is a food institution in Singapore. Located at Block 44 Bendemeer Road, this Chinese restaurant is an all time favourite with the elderly. The place serves wonderful Chinese cuisine - Cantonese style. Lai Wah restaurant was where famous dishes like 'Yu Sheng' (raw fish dish) and yam ring (yam stir fried with nuts and prawns) were created. The food is great and the staff are friendly. Lai Wah has a certain 'old world' charm which one cannot find easily in Singapore. Really enjoyed the food! Let me introduce to you the dishes Mrupupup had - via the photos below.

Baker Talent - Very new bakery!

Mrupupup spotted a new bakery in the Serangoon Central area (Singapore). Baker Talent Bakery is located in Blk 261 Serangoon Central and bakes a certain type of bread with butter or blueberry in the middle. When Mrupupup order the breads, the taste was nice and soft. The breads are on promotion now, where got bread in Singapore sell for 60 cents, very cheap. Baker Talent also has many new flavours - peanut, tuna, custard, custard egg (very nice when eaten hot!), polo bread. etc. The Bakers are talented to make nice and cheap bread.

Trip to Seoul - Incheon Airport food court

Mrupupup went to Seoul, South Korea. It was a great trip. I loved Seoul after since the K-wave swept through our TV screens. Many things to see in South Korea. Here goes the trip day 1. Landed in Seoul transit via Kuala Lumpur. The airport in Seoul is pretty clean place. You can check out the eating place 'Food on Air' that serves decent Korean food at good prices. Go to the basement level of the arrival hall of the airport. The basement food court of Incheon Airport served a nice set of dumplings and bibimbap for late breakfast or lunch. Pretty nice and hot food after a long flight.
