Wah Kee Cuttlefish Kang Kong 华记鱿鱼蕹菜

Mrupupup encountered this dish named 'Cuttlefish Kang Kong' 华记鱿鱼蕹菜 at the Blk 16 Bedok South Hawker Centre #01-193. Never knew this cuttlefish kang kong dish existed in a hawker centre. The dish is special and comes with cuttlefish (fresh and soft), kang kong vegetables, pineapple slices, peanuts, bean sprouts and lots of special sauce (sweet and sour). The cuttlefish kang kong costs $3 per plate and tastes very nice. Mrupupup never had a sweet and sour tasting dish for a long time! This stall has been in operations since the 1980s and it was the first time Mrupupup discovered it! Wah! Watch out for the long queue! The reason for the stall's popularity is due to the use of the fresh ingredients. A simple dish and made well with very fresh ingredients. Mrupupup totally enjoyed the tender cuttlefish, fresh vegetables and nice sauce to go with it all. Yummsss!
