Family Delight Restaurant Zhi Cha Chinese Dishes

Image
Mrupupup got to tell you - there in Blk 326 Serangoon Ave 3 is a coffee shop that has a very nice Zhi Cha store that sells good Chinese dishes. Zhi Cha means preparing food fried in a huge wok, very Singapore' style of eating. This coffee shop gets pretty crowded during meals times. Most of the people would be eating from the Zhi Cha store. Mrupupup tried out the Chinese dishes and had a great time with fellow friends. Dishes like mongolian pork ribs, seafood soup, fish in sauce, fried fish slices in a melon, fried rice, very tender chicken in cabbage leaves, yusheng dish and longan dessert. Totally very nice. Mrupupup liked the tender chicken in the cabbage and found it very interesting in taste. Yummysss! Fish in sauce Fried fish slices in a melon Fried rice Mongolian pork ribs - spicy Seafood soup Vegetables Chicken in cabbage leaves Longan dessert

Fish Mart Sakuraya (Parkway Parade)

Image
Mrupupup likes Japanese food. One Sunday night, Mrupupup tried out the Fish Mart Sakuraya in Parkway Parade (#B1-83D). This place served up pretty nice Japanese food. Mrupupup had the Japanese oden, salmon croquette (fried potato) and sushi rice with salmon, tuna slices on top. Pretty good. Mrupupup liked the Japanese Oden with fish cake, reminded of Mrupupup's previous trip to Japan. The price of the food was pretty alright (between $8 for oden to $14 for the salmon rice) and could get quite busy during weekends.

Yishun Dam Singapore

Image
Mrupupup went to enjoy the breeze at Yishun Dam near to Orchid Country Club and Yishun estate. The dam is meant for the fresh water catchment area at Seletar Reservoir. Well, the sky was beautiful and the breeze was great. See the photos. Enjoy the pretty clouds floating in Singapore's sky.

Twelve Cupcakes' cupcakes

Image
Mrupupup finally tried the Twelve Cupcakes! Mrupupup had the cupcake which was red velvet with very nice cream cheese on top (and a cute heart also). Thanks to a generous sponsor, Mrupupup could smell the other the cupcakes but could not eat. Haha! Could not take all the cupcakes if not friends would scold Mrupupup. Wa, Twelve Cupcake was really nice. Mrupupup thought cupcake was a simple food, but Twelve Cupcake was nice, fluffy, not too sweet and not oily, buttery (taste was just nice!). Noticed from the website each box of 6 costs $17 and $33 for a dozen, not really cheap though. Ok, more sponsors of Twelve Cupcakes please, Mrupupup would gladly eat the cupcakes up. Mrupupup would like to try the other flavours like chocolate, green tea, mocha, vanilla, and cookies & cream. Eating a cupcake just makes one Happy, did make Mrupupup delighted! Red Velvet Cupcake- taste the best!

Wild Wild Wet Singapore

Image
Wild Wild Wet Singapore in Pasir Ris is a fun place for family and kids. Mrupupup got to try out so many new water rides. Wild Wild Wet is one big place for all fun things involving water. Mrupupup sat on a dinghy tube to slide down a darken tube tunnel, slide down horizontally in a tube, sat in a big family type of dinghy to go down and waited for the big waves at the Tsunami. Really fun day! Think the most crazy ride was one whereby two person slide down 'Viking' style - up and down - really like a 2 storey drop. If mrupupup was tired out, one just sit back and relax on a dinghy in the river canal - realy so nice! Wild Wild Wet ! Really fun. Admission fee $19 per person, family I think $60. Got discounts for some cards (like NTUC). Whooopeee! Too bad hard to take picture while slding in water. Mrupupup just took picture of some kids near to the Wild Wild Wet sign.

Dome Cafe at Parkway Parade

Image
Dome Cafe is a good place to hang out in Parkway Parade Shopping Centre at Marine Parade, Singapore. Mrupupup went to Dome to sit down and get away from the shopping crowd. Mrupupup ordered the Dome Chocolate drink with gelato ice cream ($7.90) and their chocolate lava cake with ice cream ($6.90). The lava cake was oosing with chocolatey goodness and so nice with ice cream. The chocolate drink was made more chocolatey with the gelato ice cream. Very good. Dome got nice big sofa for one to sit down and drink coffee. You can also browse the many magazines in the cafe.

Joss Stone in Concert: Mosaic Music Festival Singapore 2013

Image
Mrupupup had the privilege to sit right up in the front row to hear and see Joss Stone, a UK Grammy Award winner. She sang her heart out in the Mosaic Music Festival in the Esplanade Concert Hall over the weekend. Joss Stone was a strong singer and she engaged her audience. She made the audience stand up at her last few songs. First time in Mrupupup's life to see the whole Esplanade crowd stood up for a singer. Joss Stone was really GOOD! Loved every song that she sang and she was soulful and pretty too. Enjoyed the  pictures which Mrupupup took while seating at the very second row and in front of Joss Stone. She rockzz!  Hey, at the very last part, the drummer threw away his drum stick and Mrupupup managed to catch one of the drum stick, so lucky! At the end of the concert, Mrupupup had a red wine and admired the branded drum stick. Very good evening!

Fullerton Hotel Singapore: A Heritage Trail

Image
Over the weekend, Mrupupup went on a heritage trail held in the Fullerton Hotel Singapore. This hotel is unique and used to be Singapore's General Post Office in the early days, right now it is a high class hotel. The Guide took us around to see the Fullerton Hotel and told us of its glory days as a location for the rich and famous. Very interesting heritage tour and Mrupupup learnt a bit more of the Fullerton Hotel Singapore. Thank you National Library Board for the invitation to the Heritage Trail of Fullerton Hotel. Memories to file in the Singapore Memory Portal.
