Mrupupup attended the Gala Premiere of Ilo Ilo  爸妈不在家. Great acting from the cast and very honest portrayal of a family life in Singapore. Ilo Ilo won the the Cannes Award 2013 for Director Anthony Chen, the very first Cannes Award for Singapore. Mrupupup felt proud to watch the movie Ilo Ilo and Singapore has great talents! Good Job! This is what I call a gala premiere with the Singapore President gracing the occasion at Marina Bay Sands Theatres. The event also had many celebrities : Glenda Chong (TV news reader), Ivan Heng (Director for dramas/plays), Pierre Png (TV actor), Eunice Olsen (famous celebrity) and many more.

Ok, enough names dropping, go watch the Ilo Ilo movie which opens in Singapore on 29 August 2013 and be surprise to see the Singapore in the 1980s and 1990s. Enjoy!

Baker Talent - Very new bakery!

Mrupupup spotted a new bakery in the Serangoon Central area (Singapore). Baker Talent Bakery is located in Blk 261 Serangoon Central and bakes a certain type of bread with butter or blueberry in the middle. When Mrupupup order the breads, the taste was nice and soft. The breads are on promotion now, where got bread in Singapore sell for 60 cents, very cheap. Baker Talent also has many new flavours - peanut, tuna, custard, custard egg (very nice when eaten hot!), polo bread. etc. The Bakers are talented to make nice and cheap bread.

Trip to Seoul - Incheon Airport food court

Mrupupup went to Seoul, South Korea. It was a great trip. I loved Seoul after since the K-wave swept through our TV screens. Many things to see in South Korea. Here goes the trip day 1. Landed in Seoul transit via Kuala Lumpur. The airport in Seoul is pretty clean place. You can check out the eating place 'Food on Air' that serves decent Korean food at good prices. Go to the basement level of the arrival hall of the airport. The basement food court of Incheon Airport served a nice set of dumplings and bibimbap for late breakfast or lunch. Pretty nice and hot food after a long flight.
