Mrupupup was invited to attend the great concert by J-pop Queen Koda Kumi at Scape Orchard (yeah 1 night performance only). Part of Koda Kumi's Asia Live tour of Asian venues, Koda Kumi delivered her concert with much power, high energy and she sang many beautiful Japanese songs. Mrupupup loved her voice in her slower songs like "Walk of My Life" - her latest song. Great night of music and got many Japanese fans in Singapore. Singapore was only one of the two venues in Asia as part of her tour (the other in Taiwan). Her powerful voice and all action dance.Wow! Orchestra of the Music Makers Mega-Concert for SG50 Gustav Mahler’s 8th Symphony

Image
Mrupupup attended Singapore’s Orchestra of the Music Makers (OMM) concert, performing one of the most ambitious pieces of classical music, Gustav Mahler’s 8th Symphony or “Symphony of a Thousand”, live in Singapore as a tribute to SG50. Great performance and even got "Majullah Singapore" (National Anthem of Singapore) as a final encore. Thanks to organisers for sponsored tickets - 11 July 15 concert.   Featuring no less than eight local and international vocal soloists, four large choirs (including three from Australia), a children’s choir, large symphony orchestra, separate brass ensemble and an organ, this is only the second time the symphony performed in Singapore’s history.     The monumental piece started with a medieval Pentecost hymn and culminated in the closing scene of Goethe’s Faust, drawing together fundamental philosophical ideas of Western history. Mahler wrote this immensely moving and spectacular symphony as a “gift to the entire nation” for his bel

Joss Stone in Concert: Mosaic Music Festival Singapore 2013

Image
Mrupupup had the privilege to sit right up in the front row to hear and see Joss Stone, a UK Grammy Award winner. She sang her heart out in the Mosaic Music Festival in the Esplanade Concert Hall over the weekend. Joss Stone was a strong singer and she engaged her audience. She made the audience stand up at her last few songs. First time in Mrupupup's life to see the whole Esplanade crowd stood up for a singer. Joss Stone was really GOOD! Loved every song that she sang and she was soulful and pretty too. Enjoyed the  pictures which Mrupupup took while seating at the very second row and in front of Joss Stone. She rockzz!  Hey, at the very last part, the drummer threw away his drum stick and Mrupupup managed to catch one of the drum stick, so lucky! At the end of the concert, Mrupupup had a red wine and admired the branded drum stick. Very good evening!

Vocaluptuous Sings for Christmas 2012

Image
Vocaluptuous is one of Mrupupup's favourite acapella singing groups in Singapore. When Christmas comes along in Singapore, you could find Vocaluptuous team singing Christmas songs in one of Singapore's shopping centre. The acapella group sang very well in Paragon Shopping Centre located along Orchard Road over the weekend. Apparently, the group had a new addition to the team, a 19 year old boy named Kai that performed 'beatbox' type of sounds for the group (sound great!). Mrupupup always found it amazing that 6 guys and one girl could sing so well together in one harmony and with much passion. Great job, Vocaluptuous!

Budak Pantai Superb @ Singapore Arts Festival 2012

Image
Budak Pantai the 'acapalla' singing group simply rocks at the recent Singapore Arts Festival 2012 held at the Esplanade Park. The group gave a superb concert with all the hits and medleys. Mrupupup loves Budak Pantai in the way they change the lyrics of  famous songs to give it a local 'twist'. Very nice concert. Totally enjoyed every moment of it! Took some pictures of Budak Pantai & flea market held at the Esplanade Bridge and recorded short clips of them singing! Duran Duran Singapore Concert

Image
Thanks to Courts Singapore, this blogger here attended the one night only Duran Duran Singapore concert in Singapore Indoor Stadium. The concert was super good! The British boy band played evergreen favourites songs like James Bond movie's 'A view to a kill', 'The Reflex' and 'No ordinary world'. The crowd in the Indoor Stadium totally enjoyed the experience. Awesome concert and we had excellent maroon seats with a good view.         Well, Duran Duran is on a worldwide tour, hope they will stop over in your country. The 4 Duran Duran boys - Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor - showed the crowd why they are still the best during this world concert tour promoting their latest album, All You Need Is Now.
