Ramen Monster at Novena Square Velocity

Image
The Ramen Monster shop is a Japanese Ramen Noodle shop on the ground floor of Novena Square Velocity (238 Thomson Road Novena Square Velocity #01-53). The ramen restaurant was a small place with very colourful comic murals. Mrupupup ordered regular size of Tonkotsu Ramen $8.90. The shop also sells type of other ramen (menu below). Good that there was no service charge & GST on the menu prices. The colourful wall mural made up for an interesting eating experience and the ramen took about 6 minutes to arrive. The ramen noodle here was tender & chewy and it was good. Mrupupup got a choice of regular fatty or lean char siew meat. The wonderful thing was the shop gave one full egg with nice yolk inside! The soup was yummy and the best thing was it had no MSG!!!!! Mrupupup hates the after taste of MSG which makes one super in need of water after eating ramen. Some shops in Singapore selling ramen could have so much MSG that Mrupupup would be in need of water for the whole day! Si

Keisuke Tonkotsu King Ramen at Tanjong Pagar

The little Japanese Ramen eatery, Keisuke Tonkotsu King Ramen, satisfied a huge craving of Mrupupup for Ramen (Japanese noodles). The little squeezy 18 seater ramen shop is located at Orchid Hotel Singapore, 1 Tras Street, along Tanjong Pagar area. Daily queues of at least 30mins are common for the evening meal at Keisuke Tonkotsu King Ramen. Mrupupup ordered the ramen (about $14) per bowl and slurped it all up. The unique thing about this shop was that it serve boiled eggs and customer could have as many eggs one could eat. The ramen was very good with a delicious soup base, golden egg yolk and nice piece of pork char siew. Non- spicy version   Spicy version of ramen     Unlimited servings of eggs and bean sprouts   Quite a squeeze in the ramen shop   Nice Golden egg yolk   Old pictures deco   King of Japanese Ramen

Sapporo Ramen Miharu Japanese Ramen

Image
Mrupupup enjoyed one of the better Japanese ramen in Singapore. Located at the ground floor of Gallery Hotel (tuck in a corner) in Robertson Quay area along 1 Nanson Road. The Sapporo Ramen Miharu Store sells very nice Japanese ramen and the staff were friendly.  The Japanese ramen was good and the noodles very springy. Mrupupup loved the big piece of char siew pork and the half boiled egg in the ramen. The noodle soup came with items like corn and mushrooms. Mrupupup got to sit on a Japanese style table with a hole in the centre.  Mrupupup also had a plate of pork meat gyoza dunplings with perilla leaf ,which make the dumplings more fragrant- pretty good and yummy. Mrupupup ordered the Tokusen Miso based Japanese ramen (menu item no.1) about $13.80 and the dumpling (gyoza) with perilla leaf about $6.50. Very nice place to have Japanese ramen and do take note of the queue during weekends. Do finish up the ramen soup if you are there for it takes hours to boil the soup. Yummmyssss!
