'Ang Ku Kueh' - traditional Singapore oval shaped cake. The name of the cake means in Hokkien language as 'Red Tortoise' Cake.  The shape of the cake looks like a tortoise shell. The Chinese used Ang Ku Kueh for religious offering, child birth and birthday. The cake is a steamed glutinous rice flour cake mix with mashed sweet potato and fill with bean paste filling or crushed roasted peanuts. Prefer the bean paste filling ones. Got this 'red tortoise' cake from a Nyonya shop in katong. The cake is readily available in many cake shops in Singapore.  Nice, Nice, Nice!

Dairy Farm Nature Park Singapore

Image
Visited the Dairy Farm Nature Park located in the central part of Singapore. Love nature parks, smell the clean air, see the plants and creatures in the park. Took some photos of the walk in Dairy Farm. Do note the place used to have cows but now the only cows there are 'man-made'. Enjoy Singapore's nature park, there is much to see.
