Photography at times captures the mood of a place. Went for a walk along the Singapore River, photograph the people, the places and try to capture the spirit of Singapore River. Baker Talent - Very new bakery!

Image
Mrupupup spotted a new bakery in the Serangoon Central area (Singapore). Baker Talent Bakery is located in Blk 261 Serangoon Central and bakes a certain type of bread with butter or blueberry in the middle. When Mrupupup order the breads, the taste was nice and soft. The breads are on promotion now, where got bread in Singapore sell for 60 cents, very cheap. Baker Talent also has many new flavours - peanut, tuna, custard, custard egg (very nice when eaten hot!), polo bread. etc. The Bakers are talented to make nice and cheap bread.

Food for Thought Eating Place

Image
Food for Thought @ Waterloo Street area served Western dishes. It is a popular place with Singaporeans particularly the young crowd. Mrupupup went during tea time on a Saturday and the place was busy. Well, the staff seems quite stress to serve many people. The food was nice and I cannot figure out what they put inside the iced mocha I order, taste special. A bunch of us had iced tea, scone, cake and salad for our tea time chit chat. Pretty good place to hang out with decent food.                                     Nice Deco                     Food For Thought Serves a Social Cause                               Iced Mocha with Scone                              Iced tea with Salad                                                            Cake and scone

Photos- Singapore Urban Jungle

At times, when one walks around in Singapore, one can take photographs of stillness found in the urban jungle.                     A moment of 'void'- vacant void deck of the housing estate.          Lighted 'Pigeons holes' of the housing estate reflects off the river waters                                           Gong Fu! Prata Wala @ Nex Mall

Image
Went to the Prata Wala @ Nex Mall Singapore. Some reviews say the place is no good while other reviews say is good. For mrupupup, Prata Wala at Nex Mall satisfies my hunger for Indian food. I just like to eat! Ok, please do not follow me if you want to live longer, instead have an apple for your meals. Mrupupup had a chicken briyani which comes with papadum cracker and teh tehrik (tea with condensed milk)! Prata Wala also serves roti prata, thosai, naan (nice) and all sorts of curries! Yeah, briyani was nice with their spicy curry and tender chicken. Travels - Mount Saint Michel, France

Image
Mrupupup visited the famous UNESCO site in France - Mount Saint Michel. The place is famous for the church sited on top of a rocky tidal island and the religious community. Located at the Normandy area in France, it will be tricky to go there unless you are travelling on a package tour. Well, Mrupupup went there by local transportation. First, I stayed in Saint Malo for a night, then I bought the train and bus package for about 21 euros (two ways) to Mount Saint Michel. Try to buy early at the SNCF train station at Saint Malo. If you don't speak French, its ok just point to the brochure of Mount Saint Michel. I am quite surprised that every transport (bus and train) runs on time in France.                                                  Mount Saint Michel Mount Saint Michel is special because of its location. When high tides come in, the whole place will be surrounded with water. If one were to go around the area during low tide, you can see the tidal sands and mud flats. Do p

Shin Min Motorsports Carnival @ Serangoon Central Singapore

Image
Wow! Singapore is getting more fun! There was a Shin Min Motorsports carnival in Serangoon Central over the weekend. It was fun and mrupupup got to see many motorsports related activities. Mrupupup was particularly excited to see and hear the cars do 'drifting'. Drifting cars means the cars go round and round in circle with much smoke and engines blaring - very loud! Very interesting to see motorsports right in the heart of local Singapore. Enjoy the pictures and self make videos on the driting cars - turn up your speakers to hear the va-va-vroom!                           Drifting Cars - three cars spinning round and round                                              Bike performing stunts                                         Love the cars                                          Superb Drifting Cars                                     MC giving out prizes                                                 Cars on display - think got Subaru RX

Dragon Boat Sport Singapore

Image
Always wanted to try Dragon Boat sport in my life, an Asian sport with 2,000 years of history. Well Mrupupup got a chance to see how people try for Dragon Boat racing. Dragon Boat involves many people sitting in one long boat and working together to go as fast as possible. Was an interesting day to see people train for Dragon Boat racing at Kallang Watersports Centre in Singapore. I just took many photographs and enjoy seeing people working hard together in their Dragon Boat. Do look out for the up-coming Dragon Boat Race Regatta from 4-6 May 2012 held in the Marina Bay reservoir area.
