Singapore Food Trail @ Singapore Flyer

Image
Mrupupup loves to eat and a great fan of food courts/ hawkers. Well, there is a foodcourt dining concept at the Singapore Food Trail @ Singapore Flyer. The food area at the iconic Singapore Flyer brings back the nostalgic feel of the 1960s. There are many famous food stores at Singapore Food Trail and the place was packed on a Sunday. Mrupupup had oyster omelete (nice), Char Kway Teow ( fried noodles with black sauce) and cups of bird's nest drink (very expensive drink at $2.50). The price at Singapore Food Trail are not cheap, but reasonable since there are no other eating places that provide so many choices like sambal stingray, satay, pork noodles, hokkien mee (long queue!!! never get to try), BBQ seafood, carrot cake and even an Indian store that sells the traditional 'Kacang Puteh' nuts snack. Check out the photos and see you like to pay a visit to the Singapore Food Trail. Char Kway Teow Serving Bird's Nest Drink Bruce Lee poster Oyster Omelete Hopscotch

Admiralty Park @ the North of Singapore

Image
Admiralty Park is in the northern part of Singapore (next to Republic Poly in Woodlands). The park combines an urban park and nature park with a rich biodiversity of life. There is a 2 km trail where you can spot birds, monkeys, dragonflies and insects. At the end of the trail, there is a Sakura buffet restaurant. This park is quite quiet and people use the place for a jog or ride a bicycle through the trail. Check out the photos.                                       Through the trail - Admiralty Park                                             Stream with sky reflection                                              Bridge in Admiralty Park Love the blue sky and clouds Flower in the pond Trail cycling Sakura Buffet Restaurant Outdoor area Leaves growing Blue sky Fluffy clouds

G.O.D- 'Goods of Desire' is a lifestyle store based in Hong Kong thats sells interesting designer ojects, home furnishings, tableware and furniture. G.O.D. in Cantonese "to live better" (住好o的). Well, the G.O.D store would be setting up a branch in Central Mall, Singapore, likely end of June 2012. Dignity Kitchen - Food Court with a Purpose

Dignity Kitchen is a food court with a purpose and it is different. The purpose of Dignity Kitchen is to train the disabled persons, disadvantaged and elderly so that they can get a job and be independent. Dignity Kitchen is a social entreprise food court located at Techview, 1 Kaki Bukit View, next to Bedok North Secondary School and was set up in 2010. The food court serves all sorts of food: Indian, Western, Malay, Chinese and various snacks stores. Mrupupup was very impressed by Mr Koh Seng Choon, the person behind Dignity Kitchen. He personally set up this food court cum hawker training school without any sponsorship grants, to help the disadvantaged persons in Singapore's society to receive training and get a job. He really got guts and determination to succeed and overcame all the odds, as there is no where else in the world that has this type of facility to help the disadvantaged. Mr Koh told us stories of how he helped persons with mental disorders, intellectual disabili

Strangelets Store @ Tiong Bahru

Ok, Mrupupup is kind of strange to visit a store name 'Strangelets'. Strangelets is a store in Tiong Bahru (next to Books Actually store) selling all sorts of curious stuff, interesting items and pretty unique things. Heard the store is run by 4 partners who want to bring into Singapore unique items not easily available elsewhere. Well, the store sure got Mrupupup's attention.
