Bakerzin Singapore Desserts Cakes at Vivocity outlet

Image
Singapore is one hot country, I mean the weather. Mrupupup got no choice but to rest at a cafĂ© in Vivocity to escape from the heat. Using promotion 1-1 offers (two cakes at $10), Mrupupup had a great time eating up two cakes from Bakerzin cafĂ© at Vivocity (level one near to CK Tangs store). The two cakes were New York cheesecake and Chocolate cake with ice cream. The New York cheesecake was awesome. Loved the melt in the mouth feeling of the cheese. The cake was not too sweet but flavourful. Very yummy! The chocolate cake was not too sweet, but Mrupupup got a sweet tooth so did not like the slight bitter taste of good quality chocolate used in the cake. But it was nice also! The Bakerzin cafĂ© was so bright in the day time afternoon that Mrupupup had to wear sunglasses to shield off from the afternoon sun's blazing glare. Ok, back to the cool interiors of Vivocity mall after eating the yummy cakes.

Fullerton Waterboat House 100th Starbucks Singapore store

Image
Mrupupup checked out Starbucks Singapore's 100th store at Fullerton Waterboat House at 3 Fullerton Road second floor. Mrupupup must say this is the most spacious and beautiful Starbucks store in Singapore (just opened in February 2014). With its wonderful location overlooking the Singapore River, the coffee place was a very nice experience for coffee lovers who just want to chill and relax. Mrupupup loved the store was designed with many photos of old Singapore, especially remembering the history of the Fullerton Waterboat House. This store is also unique because it hired people with special needs (very good!). Ok, Mocha Frappuccino please, make it a Venti size please! Mrupupup just want to chill out!

Creamier Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor

Image
For this week, Creamier cafĂ© and ice cream place made Mrupupup happy! Creamier served up one of the best handmade ice cream ever tasted in Mrupupup's life. Creamier is at a secret location in Toa Payoh. Just kidding, will share the location. Creamier is at 128 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh. Mrupupup tried out the handmade berries, orange vodka cranberry, chocolate and Horlicks flavour. Each flavour varies in price range from $3 to $3.40 per scoop and $5-$6 for two scoops. Mrupupup felt that the ice cream are of high quality using the freshest ingredients! Mrupupup tasted every single mouth full of ice cream and enjoyed every bit of it! Mrupupup loved the orange vodka cranberry flavour which had a light refreshing taste! Yummy! The place also had a nice decorative touch using many arts pieces. Do enjoy a day out in quiet solitude in Creamier with a single scoop of ice cream in hand. Nice!

Dome Cafe at Parkway Parade

Image
Dome Cafe is a good place to hang out in Parkway Parade Shopping Centre at Marine Parade, Singapore. Mrupupup went to Dome to sit down and get away from the shopping crowd. Mrupupup ordered the Dome Chocolate drink with gelato ice cream ($7.90) and their chocolate lava cake with ice cream ($6.90). The lava cake was oosing with chocolatey goodness and so nice with ice cream. The chocolate drink was made more chocolatey with the gelato ice cream. Very good. Dome got nice big sofa for one to sit down and drink coffee. You can also browse the many magazines in the cafe.

St Marc Cafe Singapore First Branch

Image
Woohooo.... There is a new Japanese Cafe in town - St Marc Cafe located at Vivocity First Floor (facing the harbour) and it is their first branch in Singapore. Mrupupup ordered a large cup matcha latte ($7) and their awesome croissants (plain and chocolate) - $2.40 and $2.60 each estimated. The green match latte was great and taste very nice especially with the croissants. The St Marc Cafe's croissants were really crispy and wonderful to the taste. Mrupupup ordered two croissants and felt like ordering more! Wonder why Mrupupup never encountered this St Marc Cafe when he went travelling in Japan! St Marc Cafe also serves up ice cream desserts, pastries, bread and various types of coffee. Do get their St Marc Cafe coupon which gives one a 10% discount on all items till May 2013. Mrupupup is going again to St Marc Cafe one day.

Book Cafe at Martin Road

Image
Mrupupup was at the Book Cafe located along 20 Martin Road (near to the Robertson Quay area). Really enjoyable experience just to sit down in a nice cafe. Mrupupup had an all-day breakfast set at 2pm and coffee cappuccino  The Book Cafe was really crowded on a weekend afternoon. People just came into the cafe, ordered coffee & cake and turned on their laptops to read. Book Cafe really attracted an 'intellectual' crowd on an weekend afternoon. The food was pretty nice. The all day breakfast set came with bacon, hashbrown, eggs, toasted bread (about $12) and enjoyed the fragrant coffee (about $5). If you are bored in the Book Cafe, one could just pick up a book or magazine lying around the shelves. Pretty good day!

Teadot Cafe

Image
Teadot is a specialty tea cafe located at Nex Mall Level 2 (next to Starbucks) which serves a wide variety of cakes, coffee and tea concoction with exotic names. Mrupupup ordered  their matcha latte with creative coffee tea art on top. The Teadot Cafe is an open concept place and Mrupupup just shared one green tea matcha latte which costs $6.30 (a bit overpriced). The place was relaxing place for a cuppa and sharing interesting conversation. Mrupupup felt that the matcha latte was pretty but the taste lacked a bit of green tea. Anyway, Mrupupup slowly enjoyed the green tea matcha latte with Famous Amos biscuits (Yummss!).

Hans Cafe Pastries

Image
Mrupupup just likes to eat. Hans Cafe at Velocity @ Novena Square #01-11 (Thomson Road) sure has many types of cakes and pastries for one to eat. Mrupupup just could not resist and bought their chicken pie, kaya pandan cake and their peach tart. All the items bought was in Mrupupup's tummy within a few hours! Yummys! Guess Mrupupup loved their pastries. Chicken pie was great with chicken and potatoes, eat it while the pie is warm. The kaya pandan layer cake was very nice and fragrant with pandan. Peach tart just one huge peach on top of the tart which was good.

Caffe Pralet at Eng Hoon Street

Image
Caffe Pralet at 17 Eng Hoon Street (spelled with a double 'f's) is in the Tiong Bahru estate area. The cafe sells very nice cakes and coffee. The place is good for a quiet respite from the busy world outside. The cafe serves many types of cakes and pastries and the place is also a culinary/baking school for 'wanna-be' pastry chefs. Mrupupup had their chocolate cake and took many pictures of the other cakes. Cannot be possibly eating all of the cakes. Enjoy the pictures. Have a coffee while reading Mrupupup's blog. Slurps! Yumzz!

Old Town Coffee outlet at Suntec City

Image
Old Town Coffee outlet has an outlet in Suntec City Mall(Singapore) near to circle line train station. Mrupupup visited Old Town for breakfast. Mrupupup enjoyed their signature white coffee & tea, Lum Mee (very nice noodles - only found in Old Town outlets), and Mrupupup's favourite traditional toast bread with kaya. Loved the cripsy toast bread! Old Town outlet service was quick and really loved the food. Took very nice pictures of the coffee and tea, and the food items. Yummzzz!

The Connossieur Concerto - TCC at Funan IT Mall

Image
The Connossieur Concerto - TCC at Funan IT Mall (Singapore) serves very nice coffee and their western main dishes. Very nice place - with comfortable seats. Mrupupup was lucky that the TCC outlets are having a 1 for 1 mains promotions till August 2012 - order 2 dishes and pay only for one - good value for money. Very good! Mrupupup had Ocean Surfin' - two thick slices of fishes with asparagus and vegetables, and their salmon pasta dish with special tangy sauce. Mrupupup also enjoyed their signature coffee. Yumzz!
