Pandan Reservoir Park- Awesome Sunset

Image
Mrupupup went to the Pandan Reservoir and its park. Well, Mrupupup concluded that the western part of Singapore has awesome sunsets and Pandan Reservoir (located in the West) would be the place to see and photograph beautiful sunset. Mrupupup enjoyed the beautiful sunset, calm reservoir waters and wonderful scenery  Mrupupup just want to share Pandan Reservoir's sunset with you. If you happen to stay near Pandan Reservoir in Singapore, all I can say everyday you can enjoy sunsets - lucky people living near Pandan Reservoir. Enjoy the pictures!

Bidadari Cemetery - Place for photography & peace

Image
Bidadari Cemetery has been cleared of the cemetery plots and now is a nice park along Upper Serangoon Road, Singapore (nearest MRT station Circle Line- Woodleigh). Mrupupup went to Bidadari Cemetery just to take photographs of the place. The place is good for photography and bird watching. The whole landscape evoked a sense of calm and peace. Mrupupup walked along and encountered cute dogs, squirrels, birds, men on their daily jogs, interesting tree shapes and people enjoying the peace. Checked out Mrupupup's photos of Bidadari Cemetery. The whole place would be cleared for public housing in the future and do enjoy the mini park while the place still remains.

Chan Hampe Galleries - Mrupupup's Exhibited Photo

Image
So exciting. Mrupupup's photo was exhibited at the Chan Hampe Galleries located at Singapore's historic Raffles Hotel #01-20, North Bridge Road. My photograph is part of the SIM University's Learning Festival -  top 25 selected photographs on the theme 'leadership'.  Mrupupup just felt a sense of achievement and satisfaction of having my photograph exhibited in a nice gallery and in the grand Raffles Hotel. Well, Chan Hampe Galleries will hold the 'SIM Snapshot on Leadership' exhibition till 13 October 2012. Truly felt great that Mrupupup's photography skills could compete against the more established photographers in Singapore. Very nice!

Wedding couple at Peranakan Museum Singapore

Image
Mrupupup spotted a couple having their wedding shots taken in front of the Peranakan Museum Singapore along Hill Street. The wedding couple seems so happy and spontaneous! Happy photographs makes for long lasting memories. Attached some shots by Mrupupup attempting to be a 'pro' wedding photographer. Smiles, it's your wedding!

Orchard Central Art Installations

Image
Have you been to the top of Orchard Central? This building along Orchard Road has nice art pieces at the roof top. Mrupupup find these art pieces interesting. Orchard Central is a lighted building in the evening and uses up lots of energy (Mrupupup's thinking). Do check out the art installations, Mrupupup likes the 'whimsical cartoon like' pieces. Oh one more thing, if you dare to take their buidling's escalator up to the roof top, you would be able to see closely the mynah birds (very noisy birds) nesting on the top of trees. One can also see the whole of Orchard Road district from the roof top of Orchard Central building- (free views!). Check out the photos.

Botanic Gardens Singapore

Image
Botanic Gardens Singapore established in 1859 is one place that is full of activity on a weekend morning. There were many people in the Botanic Gardens! The garden was full of energy with people having picnic, walking their dogs, viewing the plants & flowers, taking a jog and enjoying nature at its best. Mrupupup was just taking a stroll cum jog through the gardens and taking lots of photos in the Botanic Gardens on a weekend morning (even got a beautiful caterpillar shot!). Do visit the Botanic Gardens located at 1 Cluny Road (Tanglin area). Enjoy!

Ann Siang Hill

Image
Ann Siang Hill is nestled in the Chinatown district of Singapore. Ann Siang Hill has many restaurants. It is a good place to just have a walk and enjoy the colourfull buildings in the area. Being in the Ann Siang Hill, bring Mrupupup back to the bygone era of Singapore where the area had many rich man's clubs, exclusive social clubs and clan associations. Now, Ann Siang Hill has many restored shophouses with five foot ways and nice places to eat or shop. Take note of the slope upwards and enjoy the breeze at the top and one can also see the many air-conditioning units to cool Singapore down. Enjoy the photos.

Cantonment Road and Tanjong Pagar - A Morning Stroll in Pictures

Image
A sunday morning stroll along the Cantonment Road and Tanjong Pagar area. Singapore can be interesting for street photography, you will never know what you will find. Mrupupup walked from Cantonment Road area and all the way to Tanjong Pagar. Mrupupup loved the buildings along the way and the people encountered (even a streetside barber). Life is pretty interesting on a Sunday morning in sunny Singapore. Check out the photos and enjoy.
