Max Brenner Chocolate Bar - Suckao Drink

Image
Mrupupup tried the Suckao chocolate drink at Max Brenner Chocolate Bar at Esplanade Mall Singapore (#01-08). First time tried the suckao drink which costs about $7. Well, this drink was special. It was like a chocolate drink but deconstructed by Max Brenner. The Suckao would be served with chocolate bits (dark type), milk, metal straw to suck and a pot to mix the milk and chocolate. The milk could be top 3 times. Add the chocolate bits to the hot milk, wait for the chocolate to melt. Once the chocolate melt in the hot milk, drink up! Enjoy the taste of your own chocolate drink. If you bored and could not wait, you could take a few chocolate bits and chew them to satisfy your chocolate cravings!

Texas Chicken at Nex Mall

Image
Wooo.... Mrupupup had Texas Chicken at Nex Mall Singapore (#04-18). Yummy fried chicken. Mrupupup loved Texas Chicken not only for their chicken, also for their biscuit. Really do not know how Texas Chicken chicken does it but the biscuit is really unique, buttery crispy on the outside, soft inside the biscuit and taste even better with mashed potato on it. Mrupupup had the No.1 set which came with 2 pieces of original fried chicken, biscuit and mashed potato and with coke (of course!) The set costs about $7.50. Mrupupup went to the Nex Mall outlet, well the place was a squeeze especially during peak hours of lunch or dinner. Well, do take note of the fatty oily chicken skin - eat it up of course. Haha!

Satay Power at Lau Pa Sat Market

Image
Mrupupup had satay at Satay Power (Stall No. 6) at Lau Pa Sat Festival Market located at Raffles Place, Singapore. Well, the stall did live up to its reputation and Mrupupup loved the juicy 'power' satay sticks of yummy meats. The satay sticks came with slices of beef, chicken and duck. First time, Mrupupup tried duck meat on satay sticks. Each satay costs 60 cents per stick. Easily Mrupupup's group of friend spent $5 per person on eating satay with peanut curry sauce, onions and rice cakes. Yummy! Mrupupup also loved to see the satay man cooking over a hot charcoal oven to slowly cook the satay meat. Very nice! Satay is best with a good cup of milk tea (teh tarik!) or bandung (rose syrup milk drink!). Singapore is truly a food heaven on earth! Mrupupup just enjoy eating! Lau Pa Sat market satay stalls only opens late in the evening. Satay Power !

Hifumi Japanese Restaurant

Image
HiFuMi Japanese Restaurant served up pretty nice Japanese food. The food at Hifumi reminded of Mrupupup's time in Japan. Hifumi's salad bar free flow of dishes served was uniquely Japanese like their potato salad, rice crackers, sweet desserts, bean curd and etc . Mrupupup ordered their salmon and teriyaki chicken sets which came with rice and soup. Mrupupup was more attracted to the free flow salad bar and was tucking into too many cups of chawamushi (steamed eggs in a cup). Very nice and per person about $15. Hifumi is located at Plaza Singapore #04-68 (at near Dhoby Ghaut station) - Orchard Road. Warning- Mrupupup ate too much food in Hifumi! Really felt like a 'value for money' buffet. Arhhhhh... the sweet potato sticks in the salad bar was just so nice!

Monkey spotted at Dairy Farm Nature Park

Image
Mrupupup spotted many monkeys in the Dairy Farm Nature Park in Bukit Timah Singapore. The monkeys were energetic and full of playful intent. Mrupupup also spotted a spider among the bushes. Very interesting day to go and look at nature. Very nice Dairy Farm Nature Park.

River Hong Bao 2013 Singapore

Image
River Hong Bao 2013 is an event that happens annually during Chinese New Year in Singapore. Well, Mrupupup loved to go River Hong Bao which was held along the Marina Bay area. Mrupupup loved to see the colourful lighting structures. Mrupupup thought this year's light up was quite nice and enjoyed throwing coins at the bell. Mrupupup managed to hit the bell twice. The bells rang to signal Mrupupup would be rich via business (haha- just a wish)! Ok, Mrupupup hopes to be rich in 2013! Happy Lunar New Year 2013. Managed to struck the bells twice with coins. Would be rich! Live Pig cooked! Live performances on stage
