Fullerton Hotel Singapore: A Heritage Trail

Over the weekend, Mrupupup went on a heritage trail held in the Fullerton Hotel Singapore. This hotel is unique and used to be Singapore's General Post Office in the early days, right now it is a high class hotel. The Guide took us around to see the Fullerton Hotel and told us of its glory days as a location for the rich and famous. Very interesting heritage tour and Mrupupup learnt a bit more of the Fullerton Hotel Singapore.

The small shop space sells tons of snacks at good prices. If you are crazy over Japanese imported snack, local snacks, gummies or polo mints sweets, you can try One Huat Trading for their great variety of snacks. The shop sells many versions of Japanese Pocky boxes (those long biscuits coated with matcha or chocolate sauce). Have a look at the variety of snacks - pictures taken below. One more thing, the uncle is nice and friendly and would tell which snacks are popular and good buy. A money saving tip if you want to buy yummy snacks! Baker Talent - Very new bakery!

Mrupupup spotted a new bakery in the Serangoon Central area (Singapore). Baker Talent Bakery is located in Blk 261 Serangoon Central and bakes a certain type of bread with butter or blueberry in the middle. When Mrupupup order the breads, the taste was nice and soft. The breads are on promotion now, where got bread in Singapore sell for 60 cents, very cheap. Baker Talent also has many new flavours - peanut, tuna, custard, custard egg (very nice when eaten hot!), polo bread. etc. The Bakers are talented to make nice and cheap bread.

The Bird Southern Table and Bar at Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Mrupupup had a chance to try the US outlet with 100- year old recipes for their fried chicken dishes ( tried one with watermelon and waffles!). The Bird Southern Table and Bar signature outlet is located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands Singapore-10 Bayfront Avenue #B1-01. Mrupupup tried out various dishes: salad with mango, fried chicken (must try), pork belly, devil's egg, mud pie dessert with coffee, banana pudding and Mac and Cheese. Mrupupup was so full eating all the dishes!!! Very yummy dishes and very american style restaurant with good service. Prices range from $16 for desserts to $45 for fried chicken. Mrupupup saw many families coming in to eat up fried chicken! Yummy chicken not sure how come pair with watermelon and waffles (and comes with alcohol bourbon waffle sauce!) Pretty interesting food! Yummss!
