Peony Jade @ Keppel Club wedding dinner

Peony Jade at Keppel Club (Bukit Chermin Road) exudes an old style Chinese restaurant with lovely red lanterns adorning the restaurant. Peony Jade is an award winning restaurant with excellent food. Mrupupup went for the first time to Peony Jade for a wedding dinner. Very good food! The roast duck with white flower buns was their no. 1 dish, really excellent! Anyway, let Mrupupup give a breakdown of each dish served at the wedding dinner. While writing this blog post, Mrupupup's stomach was feeling HUNGRY!!!! Oh no, could Mrupupup turn back the clock? Yummmmy!
 
First dish - multi dishes: squid, chicken, melon salad, jellyfish, rolls, mushrooms

 
 
2nd dish: Wasabi prawns and Egg yolk prawns (wow!)
 
Prefer the wasabi prawns- limit to one prawn from each side
 
 
Love the red lanterns
 
4th dish: Shark fin soup (big chunks of shark fin). If you are an
environmentalist, you would not eat! Yummy!
 
5th dish: Fish done very well with no bones
 
6th dish: Scallops done with a bit of Szechuan spice
 
 
Heard the beer is nice and microbrewery type
 
7th dish: Abalone with vegetables (very smooth abalone)
 
Dish 8: Their no.1 - Roast Duck with white flower buns (wow!)

Dish 9: Dumpling Rice with excellent ingredients
Mrupupup was quite full- but still could eat rice because its really nice!
 
 
Dish 10:Mrupupup's favourite Yam paste done not too sweet and was just great!

Mrupupup spotted a new bakery in the Serangoon Central area (Singapore). Baker Talent Bakery is located in Blk 261 Serangoon Central and bakes a certain type of bread with butter or blueberry in the middle. When Mrupupup order the breads, the taste was nice and soft. The breads are on promotion now, where got bread in Singapore sell for 60 cents, very cheap. Baker Talent also has many new flavours - peanut, tuna, custard, custard egg (very nice when eaten hot!), polo bread. etc. The Bakers are talented to make nice and cheap bread.

If you want to buy snacks, one can go to One Huat Trading located at Blk 9 Telok Blangah Crescent Singapore 090009 postal code (located at the corner of the void deck HDB shop spaces and nearer to the hawker centre). The small shop space sells tons of snacks at good prices. If you are crazy over Japanese imported snack, local snacks, gummies or polo mints sweets, you can try One Huat Trading for their great variety of snacks. The shop sells many versions of Japanese Pocky boxes (those long biscuits coated with matcha or chocolate sauce). Have a look at the variety of snacks - pictures taken below. One more thing, the uncle is nice and friendly and would tell which snacks are popular and good buy. A money saving tip if you want to buy yummy snacks!
