Yomenya Goemon Japanese Spaghetti House

Image
Mrupupup tried out the Yomenya Goemon Japanese Spaghetti House at the Marina Bay Link Mall (basement). This famous restaurant chain sells spaghetti done in an unique Japanese way and has a few stores in Singapore, Shanghai and Japan (of course!). Mrupupup ordered clam chowder spaghetti (loved the bowl design and seafood taste!) and tried out the duck spaghetti. The set also came with single serving of salad, apple drink and chocolate cake. The single serving of salad was stacked very high up with salads, beans, cherry tomatoes, and many, many, many lychees! The clam chowder spaghetti was very nice and creamy. The duck spaghetti was not bad. Try not to order too many spaghetti dishes for one might get very full easily for the portions are quite big. Yummy and totally enjoyed delicious Japanese style spaghetti and also the chocolate cake. Take note the place could get crowded during meal times. Mrupupup would come again and try out the rest of the spaghetti dishes and pizzas as showed in

Happy 47th National Day Singapore

Image
Happy National Day Singapore on 9 August 2012! Happy 47th Birthday. This year's National Day Parade at the Marina Bay Area was great. For Mrupupup, the best moment was watching our pioneer leader being well and coming down along the steps of the stadium to take his seat and enjoy the National Day Parade. Relief to many Singaporeans! Good Job Singapore! Check out some Mrupupup's photos of National Day 2012!

Sakon Thai: Mango & Durian Sticky Rice dessert

Sakon Thai Food place at Jalan Wangi served up a very nice sticky rice dessert. The durian and mango versions of the traditional Thai dessert were done well at this Sakon Thai Restaurant! Yummy and sweet. The durian version slightly better than mango version. Anyway, both very nice. Mrupupup took a picture of the sticky rice, have a look and enjoy the picture!

Soup Restaurant at Clementi Mall

Image
Mrupupup visited the Soup Restaurant at The Clementi Mall (3rd floor) with a bunch of people for lunch. Soup Restaurant is a great place and served very nice Chinese cuisine. Mrupupup's Number 1 pick is Soup Restaurant's Samsui Ginger Steamed chicken - absolutely could not resist! The steamed chicken comes with lettuce and special ginger sauce for one to do a lettuce chicken wrap (pretty healthy eating). Mrupupup just enjoyed this ginger chicken dish. Mrupupup also tried out the deer meat (pretty exotic) and the sweet and sour pork. We also had very nice soup and fish dishes. Yummyssssss. Ok, pictures below of the steamed chicken, sweet and sour pork and deer meat. Please salivate.....

Once Upon a Rosti and..... Milkshake

Image
Mrupupup visited the new food venture known as 'Once Upon a Rosti' at AXA Tower, Shenton Way, Basement 1-15. The shops sells the European pan fried potato food known as Rosti. The shop has an interesting name and is the same managment that brought us the food concept 'Once Upon a Milkshake' - which sells milkshake. The Rosti shop is nice and sells different types of rosti with sausages, bacon, eggs, ham, vegetables. If you ask Mrupupup, the shop served up pretty good rosti. After enjoying the rosti, Mrupupup later went to the nearby 'Once Upon a Milkshake' store at Maxwell Chambers (near to Tanjong Pagar MRT). Had a pretty good red velvert cake with ice cream (wah... very very nice cake and ice cream pairing!!) and very thick chocolate milkshake. By the way, Mrupupup had a receipt that showed that the server was Fairy Godmother - pretty cute (check out the photo below). Do visit these two stores in the evening for Shentown Way becomes much less busy. Good day an

Canoes and Macritchie Reservoir

Image
Mrupupup went to the Macritchie Reservoir Singapore. Mrupupup saw many canoeists in training. The place is very popular on a sunday morning. Mrupupup thinks having too many people disturb the tranquil nature of the reservoir. Mrupupup took some photographs and had a nice run around the Macritchie Reservoir boardwalk trail. The place has beautiful clear reservoir waters and tall trees. Overall, it's a good place to chill out and be close to nature.
