Fullerton Hotel Facade and Singapore Marina Bay Countdown 2018

Yoaz! Fullerton Hotel facade in Singapore would be showing a nice bear video from 25 Dec to 31 Dec 2017. Do go check it out! Marina Bay Singapore countdown 2018 would be a fun day out for families with lots of activities on 31 Dec 2017. Activities like hourly fireworks display till midnight, zumba dance at the lawn area, picnic on the floating platform, music and movies screening at the Esplanade area. Pretty nice for families and friends to gather on 31 Dec 2017 at Marina Day area! Do check out the below Fullerton Hotel video with lots of nice moving graphics!

IZA Restaurant at Siglap Singapore

IZA a new restaurant opened recently in the trendy Siglap area. Iza your locaal Izakaya Bar is located at 695 East Coast Road. The people behind The Skewer Bar in Geylang works in collaboration with this new place to come up with a trendy and new menu. Mrupupup went to Iza to try out the food and was pretty yummy. Loved small bites Japanese skewers. This place sells Singapore infused menus with things like Hai Bee Hiam (kind of local spicy shrimp). Another example of fusion way of coming up with dish like putting salted egg into the chawamunsi (Japanese steam egg dish). Another dish would be a the Tomago Otah which had egg rolls wrapping otah pieces (yummy)! The place and food was nice and Mrupupup enjoyed the relaxing nature with cold Asahi beer and Japanese skewer sticks made it a nice evening spent with friends. Asia Fighting Championship 2017 Marina Bay Sands

Asia Fighting Championships 2017 was held recently in Singapore's Marina Bay Sands. Basically it was Muay Thai (thai style) fighting action at the Marina Bay Sands Exhibition Hall. The fights were intense and people were very enthralled by the many fights happening on that day. Check out the video whereby one Singaporean won his bout!

OUE Social Kitchen Singapore for cooking together

Fancy cooking your meals with friends and eating together at Downtown Gallery's OUE Social Kitchen, it would be fun. The kitchen is on the third floor of Downtown Gallery, 6 Shenton Way (former DBS Building). The kitchen is 4000 sq feet and takes cooking in a big kitchen a whole new level. There are 10 cooking stations with all the condiments, utensils and the works. The price of renting the kitchen comes up to about having a nice meal in high class restaurant.. The Bird Southern Table and Bar at Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Mrupupup had a chance to try the US outlet with 100- year old recipes for their fried chicken dishes ( tried one with watermelon and waffles!). The Bird Southern Table and Bar signature outlet is located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands Singapore-10 Bayfront Avenue #B1-01. Mrupupup tried out various dishes: salad with mango, fried chicken (must try), pork belly, devil's egg, mud pie dessert with coffee, banana pudding and Mac and Cheese. Mrupupup was so full eating all the dishes!!! Very yummy dishes and very american style restaurant with good service. Prices range from $16 for desserts to $45 for fried chicken. Mrupupup saw many families coming in to eat up fried chicken! Yummy chicken not sure how come pair with watermelon and waffles (and comes with alcohol bourbon waffle sauce!) Pretty interesting food! Yummss!

Okinawa Pork Belly Ramen at Sun & Moon Japanese Restaurant Singapore

Mrupupup tried this Okinawa style pork belly ramen at Sun & Moon Japanese restaurant which was delicious. The pork belly was tender and melt in the mouth. The ramen noodles was cooked with ginger slices and came with half Japanese style egg. Ramen price about $14 and limited period only as the restaurant has a promotion based on Okinawa Japanese dishes. Sun and Moon Japanese Dining Restaurant - 501 Orchard Road, Wheelock Place #03-15/16/17. Long queue at this restaurant got to wait for your turn during peak hours. Check out the video.

Tokyo Pop Up Store at Nex

The new pop-up store concept - Tokyo Eater by Shokutsu 10 serves up 3 different style of Tendon bowls at a really affordable price! Prices range from $12 to $15. The fried pieces served were really big pieces like vegetables and prawns. Really good! Got to Nex "Shokutsu 10" at Nex Mall! They introduced the concept of Chazuke style, whereby each rice bowl is served together with a bottle of freshly prepared daishi soup made with bonito from Japan to be mixed into the tendon for a light nourishing taste - a really refreshing experience. Soi 19 Thai Wanton Noodles Awesome Blk 151 Ang Mo Kio Ave 5

Mrupupup kind of late to introduce Soi 19 Thai Wanton Noodles. Think many people would have known of this wanton noodle store. Soi 19 awesome Thai wanton noodles was awesomely yummy. Every day this outlet got queue. The one Mrupupup tried was at Blk 151 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 and they got outlets in Jurong and a newer outlet at Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre. Mrupupup tried the noodles costing $5 with extra noodle and extra stuff/ingredients. Love this noodles why ? Springy noodles, lots of pig fat, good char siew, Taiwan sausages added to the noodles was the best part of the dish (always eat this last for Mrupupup!). One can order $4 and $6 versions. not sure why it is Thai style as Mrupupup never had Thai Wanton noodles in Bangkok during vacation and could not find any of such stores. Pretty yummy and good. Jamie's Italian Restaurant Singapore Vivocity Outlet

Jamie's Italian Restaurant Singapore Vivocity outlet started by Jamie Oliver the famous British chef. Mrupupup tried out the seared tuna dish ($32) and Spaghetti Nero ($28) with mussels and black colour spaghetti noodles. The tuna was yummy and delicious, nicely done with nice avocado based sauce. The pasta was good with big prawns and mussels. One thing about Jamie's was the good and attentive service at the Vivocity outlet facing the Sentosa Island (address: 1 Harbourfront Walk #01-165 Vivocity mall). The not so good thing about Jamie's was the price of the dishes. Luckily, Mrupupup got use the Entertainer app to get one for one offer, so paid half price. Video

Cafe Lodge Buffet at YWCA Singapore Fort Canning Value for Money

Mrupupup went to YWCA Singapore to have a dinner buffet. YWCA located at 6 Fort Canning Road (near to Fort Canning and YMCA Orchard) The dinner buffet was quite cheap about $20 per person. Had spread of local delights like curry fish, rice wine chicken, local snacks, drinks, desserts, fruits, prawns, oysters and Japanese sushi. Think if you want to save some money you can try YWCA cafe lodge for some value for money buffet. Check out the photos. Cheap and good buffet with family and friends on a weekend.

Singapore Coffee Festival 2017 Marina Cruise Centre

National Day Parade Singapore 2017 held in the beautiful Marina Bay area. This year got nice drones dancing in the evening sky to form pictures. All time favorite item of  NDP parade 2017 would be the nice fireworks lighting up the sky. Awesome! We love Singapore. Happy Birthday Singapore! Check out the videos! One Huat Trading at Telok Blangah Singapore to buy snacks

If you want to buy snacks, one can go to One Huat Trading located at Blk 9 Telok Blangah Crescent Singapore 090009 postal code (located at the corner of the void deck HDB shop spaces and nearer to the hawker centre). The small shop space sells tons of snacks at good prices. If you are crazy over Japanese imported snack, local snacks, gummies or polo mints sweets, you can try One Huat Trading for their great variety of snacks. The shop sells many versions of Japanese Pocky boxes (those long biscuits coated with matcha or chocolate sauce). Have a look at the variety of snacks - pictures taken below. One more thing, the uncle is nice and friendly and would tell which snacks are popular and good buy. A money saving tip if you want to buy yummy snacks! Scotland beats Italy in Historic Rugby Test Match in Singapore

SINGAPORE, 10 June 2017 – Scotland coach Gregor Townsend was rewarded with a well-deserved 34-13 win over Italy for his first match in charge in the first ever international test played between two Six Nations teams in Southeast Asia. The rugby match was held in Singapore's Sports Hub Stadium. The Scots delivered a five-try victory for their coach in front of over 9,000 fans at the Singapore National Stadium and were off to a fast start when flyhalf Finn Russell kicked Scotland into an early 3-0 lead after just six minutes. Italy drew level through a Tommaso Allan penalty in the 10 th  minute and managed to hold the Scots for most of the first half. Scotland finally made the breakthrough in the 38 th  minute when scrumhalf Ali Price dived over the line for a 8-3 lead.
